Rockies received a welcome surprise yesterday when 6 ship yard workers from Newfoundland turned up with a St John's Ice Caps hockey jersey. The guys are over from Canada working at the Harland and Wolf Shipyard in Belfast which is located next door to the Odyssey which houses Rockies. They will soon be joined by another 100 of their work mates as they undertake a contract at the yard.
Being all big Ice Caps fans they decided to donate a jersey to Rockies to remind them of home. The Ice Caps play in the American Hockey League and are the farm club to the NHL's Wnnipeg Jets. The Caps are currently in the Calder Cup playoffs.
THANKS GUYS
See ya in ROCKIES
